Maureen and george

Basilica di Santa Anastasia // verona italy

Verona is a city where centuries seem to exist all at once, and we wanted Maureen and George’s wedding to have that same sense of layering and abundance. We drew from the city’s architecture and decorative arts, from pietra dura and carved stone to frescoes, pattern and color, allowing those references to collide with the couple’s own wonderfully maximal sensibilities.

What emerged was less a single motif than a collection of ideas that could be continually revisited and transformed. Artwork first introduced on paper found its way into menus, escort pieces, signage and objects throughout several days of celebration, each iteration revealing something new.
