Cat and Matt's ranch overlooking the Santa Barbara Channel played such an important role in forming who they are as a couple, their values, and their way of life and was the setting for their wedding. We worked closely with stylist Joy Proctor and Framework Events to create wedding stationery that played homage to this stunning landscape.
When Cat and Matt's guests arrived at their hotels, they were welcomed with an illustrated field guide book. Inspired by the works of James Audubon, we created paintings of the views, flora, fauna, and maps of the surrounding area and their neighboring family vineyard. These books were bound with silk twine and the cover featured a sculpted emboss vignette of purple sage and wild flowers which grew in abundance on their ranch.
For cocktail hour, we created linen bar menus which hung from custom wood stands, and delicately embroidered cocktail napkins.
Dinner overlooked a stunning view of the ocean. To keep guests from getting chilly, we created embroidered throw blankets to be placed on each chair. Menus featured a sculpted emboss front and a letterpress printed, handmade paper back for a layered textural experience.
For brunch the next day, we created whimsical illustrated menus to compliment the bright and abundant colors, patterns and varieties of family style dishes.
